About the Web Site
The
purpose of Sheep101.info
is to teach 4-H and FFA members, students, teachers, beginning shepherds,
and the general public about sheep, their products, how they are
raised, and their contributions to mankind. The site uses simple
language and pictures to illustrate the various topics and is edited
regularly with new and updated information and images.

Sheep
201 is being developed as a beginner's guide to raising
sheep. Eventually, it will be published into a book.
About
the Author
The
author of the web site is Susan Schoenian. Susan is a Sheep and
Goat Specialist with University of Maryland Cooperative Extension.
She is also the web master for the Maryland Small Ruminant Page:
www.sheepandgoat.com.
Susan raises Katahdin sheep on a small farm in Clear Spring, Maryland.
Her farm is called The Baalands.
